Easy Ruby on Rails on Leopard

I have been lately moving to Ruby on Rails programming and started to work with my first own Rails project.

Earlier I have used Locomotive to get Ruby on Rails programming environment quickly up and running on my Mac.

Now things are even easier. New Mac OS X Leopard ships with Ruby on Rails. I am one happy little nerd right now!

And it seems to work too. All I need to do is to open Terminal (go to Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal) and write 3 lines:

rails TestApplication

cd TestApplication

ruby script/server

That is all there is to create new Ruby on Rails application and get it running.

Easy way to check that Rails is really up and running is to open browser and point it to your computer at port 3000.
