iSync plugin for Nokia E71
Plugin for iSync to add support for the new Nokia E71.
I just got my new Nokia E71 yesterday and noticed that Nokia still hasn’t released an official iSync plugin for the phone. I needed to get my stuff from the old phone and had only access to my mac, so I modified the plugin for E51 to work with the E71.
If you need to get your E71 synced and cannot wait for Nokia to release the official plugin, grab the plugin I made from below.
Extract the archive to /Library/PhonePlugins and you should be able to add your phone to iSync.
Please note that this is just a quick modification of the plugin for E51 and I haven’t had the time to test it thoroughly, so your mileage may vary.
Be sure to check out Nokia’s iSync page for the official plugin when it gets released.

Hi Marcus,
I’ve installed the official Nokia plug-in for the E71 but find that it truncates (with the E61 I could have many paragraphs here; with the E71 I can have around one!) the descriptions/notes field in iCal. Are you having the same problem?? Does your plug-in work better??

I haven’t noticed any truncation of notes on mine; but then again I don’t really have any long notes to begin with. I suggest that you try the official Nokia plugin now that it has become available. You’ll find it from the link in the article.
